What Does 110% Price
Guarantee Really Mean?
When you buy shoes online you often see the words “110% price guarantee“, so what does that mean?
Here's an example:
I shop mostly at Onlineshoes and Zappos, I like their large stock of shoes
and fast delivery. So let’s say I buy a pair of shoes from them
that cost me $100. A few days later I’m searching the net and find the identical pair of shoes for $90.
Here’s how the 110% price guarantee works...
If Onlineshoes offers a 110% price guarantee, and they do, I can notify them
that I just bought a pair of shoes from their store for $100 but I found the exact same pair of
shoes at another store for $90.
The Onlineshoes.com guarantee means they will refund me the difference in price,
in this case it’s $10, plus they will add an additional 10% which in this case would be $1 (10%
of $10 is $1).
So Onlineshoes would refund me a total of $11.
BTW, Zappos no longer offers 110% price guarantee :-(

One of things you need to be aware of is the items in questions must be identical
to the items you purchased, this means color make and model. Also price guarantee generally does not apply to
auction sites. The price guarantee most often applies to price of the item, including any shipping charges,
handling fees, processing fees, taxes, etc. but these can differ from store to store.
110% price guarantee can mean different things to different stores and the terms
and conditions may vary, so always check the details for the specific store you are dealing with.
